Uruk came in to being in several ways. First he is a character in a heavily modified Role Play of Mech Warrior. In this game he is a scout for a genetically enhanced human fighting force. There is simply too much detail to go in to, and some of the purists out there will disagree with the whole idea, but hell, isn't that what role play is all about? Secondly he was created in Poser, using TBKoens Predator figure. After extensively tweaking the figure with morph settings I arrived at a size and shape I liked. The original figure stood only a few inches taller than a man, where as Uruk is a little off 8 foot all, as a predator should be. The original figure also lacked the bulk of a larger predator, and so expansions were made to the chest, arms and legs to give a more muscular appearance.
Once the model was tweaked out to how I liked I began looking at textures. I found a nice picture of some weathered steel plate on the net and decided to use that for Uruk's Armour texture, giving a nice light colour to it. I added some detailing to the mask from the Echo Genesis by Emanet Kaos (www.renderosity.com) I also added some extra armour to the upper arms.
Uruk's Spear and Blade Disk weapons are created with elements from Daz3D's Multi Sword (www.daz3d.com) The Disk used 9 blades, each positioned manually in poser along with 2 Torus primitives and several sphere primitives. Once positioned these were exported as a single object. The Spear was made in the same way, positioning each blade manually, then exporting to create a single unified figure.
